Be back soon!

Our home has been busy. With my school work, work, studying for certification, electricians, contractors, and Baylor's classes we have seemed to be on the go nonstop. In a few weeks my summer classes will be over and I hope everything settles a little.

Until then here is a photo of Baylor lying beside my desk, waiting to go play frisbee.

Here we are...

Baylor and I have been keeping ourselves busy. I started my summer classes which includes a clinical. Baylor and I are taking classes one night a week and training one night a week. We have started walking everyday also. Since my good friend is out for the summer (she is a teacher) we have hit the trails a lot. Baylor is in love with her corgis.

On Tuesday nights three of us and our dogs are taking a novice clicker class and having a ball. It has been fun to watch Baylor think and offer behaviors. After the class we grab a bite to eat and then head out to a wonderful park near the training building to take the dogs a walk.

Of course I keep forgetting to take my camera so I can post some of these fun adventures.

Have fun with your dogs!!

Fun in the Yard

Our new fence is finally finished!! Last week it was dry enough to finally remove the old fence that was taking up space. We didn't invite any of Baylor's friends over as I was afraid one of the dogs would get hurt by running into the posts stacked up.

So now we are ready. We were able to fence in a little over 1/2 an acre so Baylor is in heaven. At first he was not sure he was suppose to go out into it as our other fence was so much smaller. Now however he is loving hiking on all the trees, chasing squirrels, and his new love of frisbee.

I have never played frisbee with Baylor, not really sure why. I found Macie's last week and thought I would give it a try. He LOVES it! At first he was not very good at judging it but now he is catching more than not. I try to keep the throws low so he does not have to jump so he will not injure himself. I swear he loves soaring in the air to grab one, you can see it on his face.

We also have a Chuk it. I played softball for years but sure don't have a good throwing arm now. Below are a couple photos. The first is the joy on Baylor's face after catching a frisbee and the second is when his friend Lilly came over to play.

Flowers

Finally the weather has broke in Indiana and we have had an entire week of nice weather. We have been able to finally catch up on the outside work and last night we bought flowers to plant in the containers on our patio. This morning since it has been reaching 80+ degrees during the day, we woke up really early and planted the flowers.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!!

Getting back on the horse

Losing a dear friend like my Macie has made life feel dreary. I still feel like there is something really big missing but each day does get a little easier. I have started working on a memory book, putting together stories and photos of Macie. It is good therapy which involves smiles and tears.

Baylor is almost completely healed from his surgery and his biopsies were benign, YEAH!! We had our follow-up visit and he is cleared to have his toys :). We return to the specialist in 4-6 months to monitor for changes in the bone and to make sure the tooth the tumor is surrounding stays healthy.

Please don't take a day with your dog for granted and give them a belly rub for me.
